Blacklock are a family owned and run bespoke jewellery design company. With roots that run right back to their establishment in 1832, they turned to us when it was time to take their business online.
They wanted to start from scratch. With the move to an online shop-front, Blacklock weren't just looking for a new website, but the whole package; everything from an identity, through on-model photography of their products, right up to a heavy-weight e-commerce system.
We lay the ground work by auditing the competition, direct and aspirational. With that insight, we developed a sense of their market and how we could create a brand-language that could own a space in the sector. After that, we developed pipelines for rendering photo-realistic imagery from their production-ready 3D models. We orchestrated a series of fashion shoots with multiple models, photographers, stylists, hair and makeup artists. We built a site which functioned as a beautiful shop-front for Blacklock's products, and backed it up with killer features like a searchable cut-diamond catalogue. We topped the site off with a system for taking and developing bespoke design briefs online.
The site continues to go from strength to strength, and has been shortlisted – not once, but twice for jewellery industry awards.
